A hand-thrown and turned teabowl, with a matt glaze using wood ash, local clay, and felspar over a brushed iron slip to cause the decorative crawling (a parting of the glaze) to reveal the clay body, which gives this teabowl a unique character.

All our pots are made with stoneware clay, some with high iron content, and are fired at very high temperatures, 1260-1300 degrees, with mild to heavy reduction. These pots are dishwasher safe, although washing by hand is the best option.
